Embracing Change
In the midst of moving from one apartment to another in Pasadena, friends asked if I was excited for the move. At the time, excited was not how I would have described my emotional state.
Like many, change is not something I tend to seek out, though change is often imposed on me. I’m quite content to stick with what, for the most part, has been working.
The move went smoothly and now that the dust has mostly settled, I have time to reflect and breathe and appreciate the opportunities both J. and I were presented to discard or donate excess “stuff” that had weighed us down, a chance to explore another neighborhood of Pasadena and make new neighbors.
In fact, our new space is much larger, lets in more light and has more privacy - all good things. Best of all, I have a dedicated “room of my own”, a loft space I christen the “meditation room”.
