Architecture Detail - Breeze Block

I often explore my city by foot and consider it a good run when I find something new of visual interest. Here in this post, a random collection of breeze block building adornment in central Pasadena.

This breeze block and metal screening was spotted at an otherwise bland apartment building on 1270 Cordova St. (built 1963)

The concrete block screen below shields the south side of the Knox Presbyterian Church from a busy corner on Del Mar Blvd. Stained glass insets are appreciated by church goers on the interior.

This was a recent fun find at 410 Euclid. The block pattern is called “Festival”

I appreciated the block pattern on this humble “shed” on Hudson Ave.

This senior apartment building on Cordova had a wall with a very tech-like pattern.
