Hooray for May Gray
Hooray for May gray, that time of year in California with thick clouds and low temperatures in the mornings and sometimes into early afternoon. While I love the feel of sunlight on my skin, as a runner and photographer this kind of weather is a gift!
I happened to be in North County San Deigo near Del Mar this week. This allowed an opportunity for a morning run to the beach along Carmel Valley Road. The beachy homes along this main roadway are an eclectic mix and visually interesting. No cookie cutter here!
A shortcut through the Torrey Pines Beach parking lot and a walk under a bridge section of North Torrey Pines Road allows easy access to the beach. The images below show the soft light on the massive concrete supports.
What’s to look forward to after May gray? Why, June gloom of course!
