Museum Monday - Sculpture Garden Break
Got a healthy dose of art and inspiration Monday strolling the sculpture garden at Norton Simon Museum. Below, a sample of sculptures by Henry Moore, Jacques Lipchitz, Astride Mailliol and Barbara Hepworth captured nicely in the afternoon light.
The garden landscape was inspired by Monet’s garden in Giverny. A path around the lush pond allows you to meander through a garden with plantings of trees, colorful shrubs and flowers - a stunning and appropriate setting in which to contemplate the sculptures.
