Architecture Field Trip - Century City

It’s very easy to turn a staycation into a mini-architecture field trip!  This one was designed around a stay at the Century Plaza Hotel designed by Minoru Yamasaki. There were many other noteworthy architectural buildings near the hotel including the iconic Century Towers, also by Yamasaki.

The MAK Center is a unique constellation of modern buildings designed by architect R.M. Schindler: the landmark Schindler House (1922) in West Hollywood, the Mackey Apartments (1939) in Los Angeles, and the Fitzpatrick-Leland House (1936) in Laurel Canyon.
